At Better Budget Builders, we have a passion for building environmentally sustainable homes and have been in the construction industry for almost two decades. After years of residential construction, we struck out on our own. Initially, we focused more on full home renovations, remodeling bathrooms and kitchens, and building additions. We ALWAYS seemed to run into “surprises” during our projects and found there were numerous deficiencies in design, subpar materials, and structural defects that somehow passed inspection. We found this to be true even with newly constructed homes. Seeing so many poorly constructed, poorly insulated, and weather damaged homes, we were inspired to build a new generation of residential homes for Idaho with a promise to ourselves to build it better than our competitors, while giving our customers the homes they always dreamed of and give it to them on a better budget.

When our family decided to move to Emmett, we wanted to build the best home we could afford. We also wanted the most energy efficient, soundproof, fire resistant, and weather resistant home possible. But how were we going to do that on a conservative budget? Our company embarked on a mission to construct 5-star and 6-star energy homes that are resilient to the weather extremes of Idaho. For far too long homeowners have been forced to renovate and repair their homes due to wood rot, pest damage, or spend thousands on extra insulation only to get marginal improvements in their home comfort. Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) emerged as the clear solution to these issues.

We witnessed a huge influx of residents coming into the Treasure Valley during the Pandemic, causing prices to surge because contractors and vendors price gouged on materials and labor, taking advantage of local Idahoans and new residents. Everyone shared in our disbelief as we watched prices skyrocket to unbelievable heights. That is why our company offers transparency in our practices and invoicing. This means the customer knows exactly where their money is going, and there are no hidden agendas, leaving you with more equity in your home.
